Field Guide to Insects

This field guide is all about insects. Now, I discovered something towards the end of making this Field Guide – not all creatures that we think of as insects are in fact insects! Insects have a three part body (head, thorax and abdomen), three pairs of jointed legs, compound eyes and one pair of antennae. So worms are not insects, and spiders aren’t either. But I only learnt that later on, so they are included in this field guide.

There are millions of species of insects so there is a huge scope for learning about different aspects such as habitats, activity, involvement in biodiversity.

I hope you have lots of fun!
